Leave behind a complex, hectic lifestyle for a few days and enjoy a simpler existence at Frannie’s Cabin on the Buffalo, one of the finest cabin rentals in Arkansas.

One of the first things you will notice will be the wonderful quietness around you.  You will be miles from town so there will be no cars or trains to be heard; no airplanes.  Just crickets chirping, cows mooing, bullfrogs ribbeting.

You will wake up to fresh mountain air, deer in the yard, cows in the meadow, and the twittering of songbirds.

This is the place to ponder the universe and one’s place in it; to rejuvenate the soul, making my cabin perfect for your romantic getaway or your solitary retreat.

Sitting on twenty private acres and bumping up the Buffalo National Park, my cabin has the illusion of being on thousands of acres.  This secluded setting lends itself to relaxing, exploring, and enjoying a lifestyle in harmony with the Ozark Wilderness.

My special getaway can be your too.

After 30 years of being an elementary teacher in Portland Oregon, I returned to Arkansas to retire and recuperate. In June 2006 I purchased what was to become Frannie's Cabin in the Ozarks. It was to be my home, but it was too pretty a view to keep to myself. The next year I started renting it so that others could also rest and relax there.

Then in January 2008 I purchased what is now Frannie's Cabin on the Buffalo. It too was to be my home but again it was too lovely to keep to myself and I began renting it in March 2008 so that others could also rejuvenate themselves.

I hope your stay here encourages even the most harried to slow down, relish the joys of family, nature and enjoy life.
